School Based-SLP Job Description

Evaluate and diagnose articulation, feeding, language, and fluency disorders.

Provide therapy and materials to address deficits.
-
Communicate with parents about treatment in progress.
-
Maintain and submit accurate records for insurance submission.

Timely delivery of progress reports every nine weeks to be sent home with report cards.

Author annual IEP goals and objectives based on assessment and progress results (as necessary).

Participation in IEP meetings when necessary unless excused by parent or guardian.

Serve as a member of the Pupil Appraisal Team for screenings, re-evaluations, and initial evaluations (as necessary).

Write reports using reader friendly index and explain to parents and students’ evaluation findings in clear, understandable language and cultural sensitivity.
Qualifications:

Must be a graduated of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program holding, at minimal, a bachelor’s degree.

Must be licensed by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA).

Full time or part time positions available. Supervision is available.
